Utassy Ballet School 62nd Annual Performance presenting as our feature ballet Hans Anderson's classic 'The Little Matchgirl', Also Excerpts Swan Lake Act 2, Bruce Morrow's 'The Party' Sue Hayes' Celebration', Yumi Sollier's 'Sensing the Undercurrent'
Utassy Ballet School in it’s 62nd year of operation has much pleasure in performing at the Alexander Theatre while in transition in waiting for the re-development of The Whitehorse Centre.
Although being the resident school at the former Whitehorse Centre for the full duration of its existence, Utassy in that time also performed at a variety of venues including The Arts Centre Playhouse (50th Anniversary Celebration), Burrinja Theatre (La Boheme Retold accompanied by The Nicholas Orchestra), Karralika theatre, Abbotsford Convent and more. 2020 saw an innovative outside performance at Studley Grounds, Kew, complete with live musicians and our classic ‘Peter and the Wolf’.
Sadly our 2021 ‘Nutcracker’, was unable to be performed at the Alexander Theatre due to lock-down, resulting in a green screen film version.
With jubilation our dancers look forward to experiencing full theatre again and presenting this diverse program – The Little Matchgirl, Excerpts Act 2 Swan Lake, The Party, Sensing the Undercurrent and more!
