JoysSoul Music Presents: The Aretha Franklin Project

The Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts

$10 - $25

Past Event

The Aretha Franklin project pays homage to the Queen of Soul, from her early days as a gospel singer in the church to the peak of her legendary career. Join Joys Njambi, Melbourne-based vocalist and her four-piece ensemble as they perform some of the greatest hits of Franklin’s career as well as some lesser-known back catalogue gems.

Grammy-winning Queen of Soul and the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Aretha Franklin forever will be remembered as one of the greatest vocalists of all time, and as an activist who used music as a tool for truth, justice, and soul.

Joys Njambi – vocals
Sharon Davis – keys
Emily Shaw – drums
Holly Brick – bass
Anastasia Comarin – guitar
