Elissa is a Melbourne-based jazz vocalist, band leader and singing coach. She grew up in rural Victoria and discovered jazz music at the age of 15.
Elissa then commenced her Bachelor of Music Performance at the Victorian College of the Arts and studied a summer intensive jazz program at New York University. Studying under the tutelage of Michelle Nicole, Lisa Young, Janis Siegel among others.
Since then, the band has gone from strength to strength being featured artists in the Melbourne Jazz festival, Mornington Jazz Festival, Ballarat Jazz festival and playing sold out shows at Melbourne Recital Centre and various Jazz clubs around Victoria.
In 2019 Elissa recorded her debut EP ‘True to Love’ at Pughouse studios. The EP has been successful and has received airplay on ABC radio national, Triple R and been streamed thousands of times on Spotify and Youtube.
