Hello! Would you be my friend? Heidi McKinnon’s loveable hungry monster just ate his good friend and we need you to help him find another. Join Heidi as she chats and tells stories onstage to her young audience, using live-drawing to show how she creates her characters.
Heidi McKinnon is an author / illustrator who lives in sunny Melbourne with her partner Seamus and daughter Ava. Heidi has a background in art and design. Her books are mostly based on true stories, except for one.
Heidi’s first picture book, I Just Ate My Friend, was shortlisted for numerous awards, including the Children’s Book Council Crichton Award and has been published around the world, including in the USA, France, Japan, China and Korea.
