For over a decade, the Monash Medical Orchestra has showcased the musical talents of our doctors in training – bringing passion, precision and heart to every performance.
Join us as we celebrate the hard work of years past and a bright future for the MMO.
The Monash Medical Orchestra was founded in 2011 as a way for medical students at our university to hold onto their love of music amidst the tumultuous schedule of medical school. In the years since, an amazing community has coalesced around the MMO – united by their shared passion for performance and pouring their collective time, effort and talent into every concert.
After a decade of sharing its sound with audiences around Melbourne, the MMO is returning to Monash and Robert Blackwood Hall for its most spectacular show yet. Limitless will be as expansive and thrilling as its name, combining the unparalleled contemporary talent of Hans Zimmer with the time-honoured classical sound of Camille Saint-Saens. But most excitingly of all, Limitless will feature a piece that no audience has heard before – the world premiere of the Vita Suite, from its longtime conductor Robert Dora.
We hope that you’ll join us in a night of celebration for the storied past that built the MMO into an institution of Monash Medicine, and of the bright future that still lies ahead.
