In a fractured world, how do the Arts and creativity work to connect isolated people and communities? How can they help us 'build back better'?
We’ve all experienced the power of the arts to create a sense of community and togetherness, whether that connection happens in a concert hall, black box theatre, outdoor festival stage or living room. The performing arts in particular are a method and forum for connecting people, ideas, materials and ecosystems in new and world-changing ways.
Yet many people stop short of seeing the arts as integral to creating social change. Why?
This panel explores not only how the arts makes a difference in our communities but also creates the positive changes we crave in politics, social and cultural services and personal and family life.
