Years in the making, Tales of Midtown is a musical diary shaped by sixteen years of visits to New York. From iconic landmarks including Midtown, Hell’s Kitchen and the High Line to more intimate memories and encounters, each composition captures the wonder, vitality and creative possibility of a city that has profoundly influenced Searle’s artistic journey. The performance also features acclaimed vocalist Fem Belling, whose elegant interpretations of three newly imagined jazz standards add warmth and storytelling to these cinematic soundscapes.
