Comedian Lawrence Leung’s live online show that takes place on two sides of a screen: Lawrence’s and yours.
Performed on Zoom, this unique interactive comedy show, sees audiences taking part in hilarious mind games, wicked experiments and…well, we don’t want to spoil it.
From the best seats in the house – your own – you will be guided through mini-experiences where the idea of ‘connection’ will be explored in increasingly awesome ways. Can participants read each other’s minds through a screen? Will complete strangers discover remarkable coincidences? Are we all connected?
All you need is an internet connection, and Zoom access will be provided to this special live interactive event.
Connected has previously been performed in association with The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, London’s Soho Theatre and Black Swan Theatre, Perth.
Lawrence Leung is a multi-award winning Australian comedian. He is known in comedy circles for his personal storytelling style, social experiments, quest-based solo shows and obsession with obscure or nerdy topics like puzzles, 80’s childhood icons, con artists, psychology and ghosts. His TV work includes Lawrence Leung’s Choose Your Own Adventure and Lawrence Leung’s Unbelievable for the ABC and starring in Action/Comedy Maximum Choppage for ABC2. He is also a past winner of the Directors’ Choice Award at the Melbourne Magic Festival.
He appeared on Offspring as Dr Elvis Kwan and other appearances include Newton’s Law, Top of the Lake: China Girl, My Life is Murder, Why Are You Like This? and new ABC show WTFAQ.
He has also written for a variety of TV shows including The Chaser’s War on Everything, The Family Law, The Feed and Hard Quiz.

Here are a few things you should know before the show:
- Please download the latest version of Zoom in advance. If you haven’t downloaded or need to update to the latest version, it’s free here: https://zoom.us/support/download It is possible to view on a tablet or a mobile, however we recommend watching the show on a laptop or desktop computer for the best view.
- We will email a Zoom access link to you on the day of the performance so you can log in to the performance.
On the night of the show, please log in no later than 7:50pm to make sure your device’s mic, camera and internet are working fine. There is a waiting room before the show starts. - Connected is an interactive show, so please keep your camera on. Also, please rename your Zoom title to accurately represent who’s sitting on your side of the screen. eg. “The Lee Family” or “John Watson” or “Ava, Simone & Fatima”.
- Lastly, please bring along:
A single blank sheet of A4 paper and your darkest pen, eg black marker.
