Happy House began back in the 90’s, to feature the late, great musical director, arranger, trumpet player and bonafide Motown legend, Gil Askey. His mantra was to play music to make everyone that walked in to the gig, Happy ….. and where ever the gig was, it was dubbed it “Happy House”.
The band has maintained long running Sunday afternoon residencies at the Mentone Hotel and Claypots in St Kilda and continues to maintain a busy schedule, performing at festivals & functions and a monthly Friday night residency at the Kelvin Club.
