As one of Australia’s leading university-based ensembles, Monash Academy Orchestra brings together talented musicians from the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance and the broader Monash University community to partake in a shared pursuit of musical excellence.
Under the guidance of distinguished guest conductors and acclaimed soloists, the orchestra delivers professional-level performances of major symphonic works, spanning classical icons to modern masterpieces from Beethoven and Mozart to Stravinsky, Kats-Chernin and Duke Ellington.
Continuing its dedication to Australian music, the 2027 season features an MPAC-commissioned world premiere alongside timeless orchestral masterworks across three free public concerts at the Clayton campus.
