Watch the next generation of Mars and lunar rovers explore the outdoor spaces at Family Fiesta. Then, try your hand racing one!

Monash Nova Rover is a bustling team of brilliant students passionate about designing and building Mars and Lunar rovers. They’re demonstrating their amazing robots at Family Fiesta, as well as leading fun and fast kids’ mini rover races.

Monash Nova Rover competes in the world’s most prestigious university robotics competitions, including the University Rover Challenge in Utah and the Australian Rover Challenge. Their rovers also develop new skills, innovate and promote STEM-based courses and careers. Visit Family Fiesta to see their rover Waratah, coloured pink as a part of the Pink Rover Women in STEM campaign, sparking conversations about the barriers and biases within STEM. Waratah currently ranks second in Australia and second globally!

This event is part of Family Fiesta – MPAC’s annual kids’ takeover of the Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts, 3 – 6 July 2024.
