Peter and the Wolf

The Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts
Monash University Clayton Campus

$20 - $25

Join Peter, the Bird, the Duck, the Cat, the Grandfather and of course, the Wolf, for Prokofiev’s classical work for children. Listen out for a few surprise guests from Down Under, too!

Secure your seats for our hugely popular Saturday concert on the final day of the festival, featuring the Monash Classical Collective with special guest narrator Lucy Durack and conductor Eliza Shephard.

Join Australian actress and singer Lucy Durack as she brings humour and warmth to her narration of Prokofiev’s beloved Peter and the Wolf, conducted by the colourful and creative Eliza Shephard. This lively and engaging concert is a joyful introduction to orchestral music for young audiences.

Meet the musicians after the concert and learn more about their instruments too – what better children’s classic for the finale of our Forest Family Fiesta?

Family Fiesta, Forest
Part of Family Fiesta 1–4 July. MPAC invites children 0–12 and their families to step into the forest and discover a world of free and affordable events. Explore ancient trees, fungi and the hidden micro-world beneath your feet, and see how everything in the forest is connected. Artists, theatre-makers, musicians and dancers team up with scientists to show you just how wondrous and essential these ecosystems are.
