Elly Poletti delivers an electrifying tribute to the legendary Purple One with a soulful spin on his most iconic songs. With arrangements thoughtfully crafted by Melbourne trombonist and composer Elliot Lamb, this show brings a fresh twist to timeless classics.
From 1999 to Kiss, When Doves Cry to I Wanna Be Your Lover, and of course the legendary Purple Rain, this night will have you dancing in your seat or standing, your choice! Celebrate the genius of Prince in a night full of funk, soul and unforgettable hits.
Elly Poletti is a multiple Theatre Guild Award winning vocalist and performer hailing from South Gippsland, Victoria. Known for her powerhouse vocals which she matches with sensitivity and nuance, she has performed at venues from Hisense Arena to Wangaratta Jazz Festival, supported artists including Clare Bowditch and Kate Ceberano, and won awards for her appearances on the musical theatre stage.
Opening the show is none other than Black Wax PBS 106.7FM presenter and Prince devotee Adam Rudegeair, presenting a jazz inflected set of Prince inspired Minneapolis funk.
