Monash Art Ensemble

The Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts

$15 - $45

Past Event

Proudly in conjunction with the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, the Monash Art Ensemble champions Australia’s finest new music composers and performers.

The ensemble features improvising heavyweights Robert Burke and MPAC Artistic Director Paul Grabowsky AO, alongside the next generation of talent from Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music & Performance.

In this very special celebration of Australian music, audiences will hear the premiere of a new work by Freedman-fellow nominated saxophonist Cheryl Durongpisitkul (co-composed with Jordan Murray); a piece by ARIA-Winning artist Andrea Keller plus a track from Paul Grabowsky’s Hear Now Here release, with special guest Monash alumni Ashley Ballat on trumpet.
