A delightful exposé of the life of Miss Peggy Lee, starring Nichaud Fitzgibbon and her fabulous 5-piece Swingtet, featuring some of Melbourne’s finest jazz musicians.
Nichaud, a natural, charismatic performer has been delighting Australian and international audiences for years. Her vocal quality is sultry and warm, her signature style is sassy and tinged with honey.
Nichaud Fitzgibbon is one of Australia’s premier jazz stylists who has delighted audiences for years. Hailing from the famous Fitzgibbon family, her musical pedigree spans 3 generations and she is regarded as Jazz royalty amongst her peers. She has released 3 albums to rave reviews, and has worked with some of Australia’s finest including Vince Jones, Paul Grabowsky and James Morrison.
She is renowned for her innate ability to Swing, her exquisite ballad singing, and her repertoire is extensive, ranging from classic Jazz standards from The American Popular Songbook to Latin Grooves and Blues.
Expect to hear a selection of Peggy’s popular hits, some of your favourites and a couple of rarities, plus the debut of Nichaud’s updated version of ‘Manana’. Don’t miss out on a wonderful evening of hot swing, bossa and blues à la Peggy, but in Nichaud’s inimitable fashion: entertainment guaranteed.
